It has a marked influence on nervous system with extreme exhaustion of mind. It is indicated in brain and spinal affections, depression with great relief from discharges. Involuntary movements and convulsions from fright or suppressed eruptions. Chronic diseases with brain and spinal symptoms, trembling, convulsive twitching and fidgety feet are the guiding symptoms of this remedy.

Mind: Dullness of mind with weak memory and aversion to work or to talk. Child repeats everything said to it. Fearful, melancholic and lethargic with dullness of mind.

Head: Sensation of fainting, feels as if he would fall to the left side. Headache from drinking least quantity of wine. Collection of fluid in the brain, with involuntary movements of head and hands. Rolls the head from side to side and bores the head into pillow. Pain in the occiput, with weight on vertex. Brain-fag with headaches, from over exertion of mind in school children.

Eyes: Triangular growth on the cornea with smarting, itching and increased lachrymation. Pain in the eyeballs as if pressed into the head. Itching and soreness of the eyelids and inner angles of the eyes. Partially closed eyelids with rolling of eyes. Various types of disturbances in the vision. Reddish, inflamed conjunctiva worse near the inner angles.

Ears: Tearing pains and stitches in the ear with external swelling and discharge of fetid pus.

Nose: Sore feeling in the nose with pressure on the root.

Face: Corners of mouth cracked with pale lips and itching eruption on chin. Tearing pains in the facial bones.

Mouth: Loose teeth with swollen gums and bloody taste in the mouth. Grinding of teeth in children with difficult dentition and blisters on the tongue.

Throat: Sore, dry throat with constant inclination to hawk up thick mucus. Rawness and dryness in throat and larynx with pain in muscles of throat while swallowing.

Stomach: Hiccups, nausea and vomiting of bitter mucus with burning in stomach and heartburn from sweet things. Intolerance to wine. Extreme hunger at night with greediness in eating, cannot eat fast enough. Weak digestion with feeling as if stomach were collapsed.

Abdomen: Pain after food with collection of gas in the abdomen. Distended abdomen with flatulent colic and retraction of abdomen. Enlarged, indurated and sore liver. Griping in the abdomen after eating.

Urine: Retention of urine, can pass urine only by sitting and bent backward. Involuntary urination during walking, coughing or sneezing.

Rectum: Constipation with small, hard stools. Diarrhea and vomiting in children with tenesmus and green mucous discharges. Sudden stoppage of diarrhea, followed by cerebral symptoms.

Male: Violent erections with swollen testicles and emissions. Falling of pubic hair. Drawing in testicles up to spermatic cord.

Female: Pain in the ovarian region with restlessness. Increased sexual desire in lying-in women. Menses too late or suppressed with painful breasts and sore nipples. Menses with flow more at night and all complaints better during menstrual flow. All the symptoms are associated with restlessness, depression, coldness, spinal tenderness and restless feet. Dry cough before and during menses.

Respiratory: Constricted feeling in the chest with pressure at the sternum. Hoarseness of voice and spasmodic cough worse from eating sweets. Child grasps the genitals during cough. Inflammation of bronchi with difficult respiration better by expectoration.

Back: Very sensitive back with pain and tenderness in the small of back. Tension between shoulder blades with spinal irritation. Dull aching in the lumbar region worse from sitting. Weariness in the nape of neck from exertion.

Extremities: Weakness, trembling and twitching of various muscles of the limbs. Fidgety of feet, cannot keep still. Chilblains and large varicose veins on legs. Soles of feet sensitive with profuse sweats.

Sleep: Restless sleep with jerking of the body. Wakes up frightened and crying. Restlessness of feet when asleep. Loud screaming at night in sleep without being aware of it.

Skin: Varicose veins especially of lower extremities. Tingling and crawling sensation of feet and legs preventing sleep. Eczematous eruptions with itching on the thighs and hollow of knees.

Fever: Frequent fevers with shivering and chills down the back. Cold extremities with profuse sweats on feet.

Modalities: Worse during menstrual period, from touch, between 5 to 7 pm, after dinner and from wine. Better, while eating, discharges, and from appearance of eruptions.

Dosage: Please note that the dosage of single homoeopathic medicines varies from drug to drug depending upon the condition, age, sensitivity and other things. In some cases they are given as regular doses as 3-5 drops 2-3 times a day whereas in other cases they are given only once in a week, month or even in a longer period.
