It is a gouty rheumatic remedy affecting the fibrous tissue of legs and small joints. It also acts on genitals and nerves. There is great sensitiveness to windy and stormy wet weather. It is suited to nervous persons who are afraid of thunder. The pains are tearing, zigzag, boring, and rapidly changing. It is indicated in chorea and paralytic pains.

Mind: The mind is confused and stupid. The words are forgotten when writing and talking.

Fear of thunder: The wine aggravates the symptoms.

Head: The pain in the head is throbbing especially in right side, aggravated in the early morning. Vertigo is when lying in bed and better by moving about.

Eyes: It is indicated in ciliary neuralgia involving orbit, eyeball and head. The eyes are hot as if red hot needles are darting from within out.

Ears: There is sensation of worms in the ear. The patient feels deaf after rising and noises come on after a few hours from waking.

Face: The pain in the face is violent tearing and jerking pains better by eating and warmth.

Mouth: The toothache is better by eating and warmth.

Stomach: The stomach feels heavy from cold drinks. The stomach is full after a little food. The vomiting is green, bitter after drinking cold water.

Abdomen: The colicky pain is in the umbilical region. Diarrhea set in after eating fruits.

Urinary: The urge to urinate is frequent with drawing in the region of bladder. The pain in the urethra is as from an ulcer. The urine is profuse, foul and greenish.

Male: The testes are swollen, painful, drawn up and feel crushed. The testes are hardened and painful. It is indicated in inflammation of testis with itching, wrinkled and sweaty scrotum. It is useful in treating hydrocele in boys since birth.

Female: The menses is suppressed. The fever with headache comes with each menses. It is given for serous cysts in vagina.

Chest: The chest feels bruised and sprained. The pains are violent running down the anterior chest leaving the patient breathless and speechless.

Extremities: The wrist feels bruised and sprained. The hands feel warm in cold weather. The lower legs are cold and skin is wrinkled and feels as if asleep. The pains in the legs are tearing, drawing and rheumatic. It is indicated in rheumatism of hot weather.

Modalities: The symptoms are worse before storms, rough windy wet weather, cold damp, cloudy weather, night, midsummer, wine and eating fruit, better by heat of sun, wrapping head.

Dosage: Please note that the dosage of single homoeopathic medicines varies from drug to drug depending upon the condition, age, sensitivity and other things. In some cases they are given as regular doses as 3-5 drops 2-3 times a day whereas in other cases they are given only once in a week, month or even in a longer period. We strongly recommend that the medication should be taken as per the physician’s advice.
