It is indicated in appendicitis and pruritus ani. It acts on the ileo-caecal region. It also causes inflammation of the urethra and urinary affections. It has irritant and cathartic properties. It causes diarrhea with much rumbling in the ileo-caecal region. It is also indicated in urinary symptoms associated with gonorrhea.

Head: Vertigo is with dullness of head. The headache is bursting and throbbing especially in the frontal region.

Mouth: The mouth and tongue is dry. The tongue is coated with bitter taste.

Stomach: The appetite is decreased with increased thirst. There is aversion to food with nausea and increased salivation. The vomiting is frequent instead of diarrhea. The vomitus is sour and constant inclination to vomit persists.

Abdomen: The abdomen is distended. The flatus is profuse and expelled forcibly. The abdomen is full of gas with rumbling and increased bowel movements.

Stool and anus: The anus is itching. The stools are thin and pasty. The stools are passed with violent rumbling and gurgling followed by distension of abdomen, thirst, coated tongue, bitter taste and weakness. The stools are thick, pasty, dark green and copious without much urging. Constipation is followed by diarrhea.

Urine: The urethra is burning while urinating. The urine is frequent and scanty.

Dosage: Please note that the dosage of single homoeopathic medicines varies from drug to drug depending upon the condition, age, sensitivity and other things. In some cases they are given as regular doses as 3-5 drops 2-3 times a day whereas in other cases they are given only once in a week, month or even in a longer period. We strongly recommend that the medication should be taken as per the physician’s advice.

Please avoid taking any food or drinks for a few minutes before and after taking the medication.
