Helpful in cases of joint pains and in affections of the tonsils. Very useful in cases of acute joint affections. All secretions offensive. Unclean odor from the entire body. Head: Pain in head and face that extends to the neck. Tearing pain in the scalp made worse by cold and in wet weather. Head feels eels swollen, and blood-vessels feel congested. Aching pain in the left ear.

Throat: Sore throat with weakness of the muscles. Throat feels dry, burnt and swollen. Stitches in the throat extending towards the ear. Acute throat affections.

Stomach: Tongue appears furred. Desire for apples and other fruits with aversion to milk. Burning in the stomach. Constriction in the upper abdomen.

Respiratory: Feeling of being suffocated. Dry cough. Fetid breath from the mouth after coughing. Chest pain at the articulations of ribs, with shortness of breath till expectoration occurs.

Extremities: Pain in shoulders, arms and hands. Pain in limbs of growing children. Tearing pains with contractions. Stiffness making movement difficult. Pain in ankle extending up to the leg. Joints swollen, and painful. Unable to tolerate pressure or heat on joints. Stinging type of pain in limbs. Affected parts feel hot.

Modalities: Worse, from motion, heat, and in cold wet weather; from pressure and from touch, from 6 pm to 4 am. Better by external pressure.
