This remedy is useful in cases of headaches which may be neurasthenic, periodical, sick, menstrual and bilious. It is a prominent liver remedy especially for conditions with increased and concentrated bile and formation of gall stones. It is also indicated for enlargement of spleen with paroxysmal, abdominal pain and disorders in sugar metabolism and diseases of pancreas.

Head: Dull frontal headache, over root of nose and eyes. Pain through the temples which gets worse from stooping and movements. Mentally very restless and apathetic. Yellowness of conjunctiva and pain in the eyeballs, with pressure over the root of nose. Broad tongue with thick yellow fur and imprints of teeth and profuse salivation.

Abdomen and Liver: It is indicated when there is griping and cutting pains in the umbilical region from inflammation and disorders of liver and pancreas. Feels as if a string were tied around the intestines, which is suddenly drawn tight and then gradually loosened. Enlargement of liver, with soreness of abdomen and constipation. Soft clay-colored stool which is sometimes yellowish and pasty. Diminished appetite.

Urine: Profuse and frequent urination. Urine dark in color with passage of bile and sugar.

Skin: Skin pale yellow with marked moisture. Sallow, greenish discoloration of skin with itching.

Dosage: Please note that the dosage of single homoeopathic medicines varies from drug to drug depending upon the condition, age, sensitivity and other things. In some cases they are given as regular doses as 3-5 drops 2-3 times a day whereas in other cases they are given only once in a week, month or even in a longer period.
