This remedy is effective in cases where the symptoms appear mostly in the morning and at night. The symptoms come on during and after eating. There is marked physical anxiety along with weakness and emaciation.

Head: Pain in the forehead in the evening which gets worse from coughing, after eating, after sleep, from sunheat and pressure, and is better by walking in the open air. Sensation of emptiness and looseness of brain in the head. Moist eruptions on the scalp with scaly crusts and severe itching. Profuse sweating of the scalp and falling of hair.

Face: The face is cold and pale with convulsive twitching of the facial muscles. Eruptions on the face such as, acne and boils with crusts. The lips are dry and cracked. Swelling of the face, parotid glands and submaxillary glands, which are very painful and sore to touch.

Nose: Frequent and fluent coryza with constant inclination to blow the nose. Bleeding from blowing the nose. Inflammation of the nasal mucosa with thick, yellowish and offensive discharge. Obstruction of nostrils, frequent sneezing, loss of smell from swelling of the nose.

Chest: Cough in the morning after rising, in cold air, worse from talking and from tickling sensation in the throat and larynx. Voice is hoarse, weak and rough. Difficulty in breathing from ascending the stairs and at night. Anxiety and palpitation which gets worse at night.

Extremities: The hands are very dry with cracked fingers and palms. Increased, cold sweating of the palms and soles. Heaviness and numbness over the limbs. Painless paralysis of the upper limbs, and weakness and jerking of the lower limbs. Painful eruption on the extremities with itching.

Dosage: Please note that the dosage of single homoeopathic medicines varies from drug to drug depending upon the condition, age, sensitivity and other things. In some cases they are given as regular doses as 3-5 drops 2-3 times a day whereas in other cases they are given only once in a week, month or even in a longer period.
