Acidum sulphurosum MT is used in dyspepsia with vomiting of yeasty material; intestinal dyspepsia with gas and flatulence and general deficiency of acid in the system. In pneumonia, it is indicated when the condition is with purulent expectoration. Other indications include bronchitis with fetid discharge and diphtheria. In scabies, applied locally, it is even more prompt in action than sulphur. It is used as a spray in tonsillitis. According to Ringer, ten to fifteen minims taken ten minutes before each meal will remedy heartburn and prevent fermentation and flatulence. It also removes thrush (candidiasis of oral cavity).
