Management of Non-Healing Ulcer in a Diabetic Patients

Recent Advancements in Basic Homeopathic Research – A Report on Two Significant Publication

In a study conducted at the Experimental Farm of the State University of Santa Catarina, Brazil, researchers investigated the impact of homeopathic treatments on piglets during the nursery phase. The study aimed to determine whether homeopathic agents could reduce fighting behavior, improve growth performance, and affect hematological, metabolic, and oxidative variables. The study included 108 weaned piglets divided into four groups: a negative control group receiving only the basal diet, and three groups receiving different homeopathic treatments at varying dosages.

Management of Non-Healing Ulcer in a Diabetic Patients

Abstract
Foot ulcers caused by diabetes are a significant issue for diabetic patients, frequently resulting in serious consequences like gangrene and amputation if not addressed quickly. This case study examines a 58-year-old man with a chronic wound that does not heal, recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, and experiencing acute kidney damage (AKI). Conventional methods such as antibiotics, wound cleaning, and managing blood sugar levels were not effective in helping the wound heal. Homeopathic treatments such as Arsenicum album, Silicea, and Hypericum were brought in to treat gangrene, enduring wounds, and nerve pain. Over time, these therapies helped with notable enhancements in ulcer recovery, pain control, and tissue growth. This demonstrates how combining homeopathy with conventional medical treatment can effectively manage difficult diabetic foot ulcers and support overall healing.

Keywords: Arsenicum album, ulcer recovery, diabetic foot ulcers, pain control, and tissue growth.
