An Evidence-Based Case of Haemorrhoids

Abstract: Haemorrhoids, commonly known as piles, are swollen veins in the rectal area, leading to pain, bleeding, and discomfort. This case study discusses the successful homoeopathic management of a 26-year-old unmarried male diagnosed with external haemorrhoids. The patient experienced severe pain, protruding piles, and rectal bleeding while passing stool. A surgeon recommended surgical intervention, but the patient opted for an alternative approach. He was treated with Muriatic Acid 200 (once daily) and Scrophularia Nodosa 30 (twice daily) for one week. Within three days, he experienced significant relief, with complete resolution of symptoms after a week. This case highlights the efficacy of homoeopathic remedies in treating haemorrhoids without surgical intervention. It also emphasizes the importance of dietary modifications and regular physical activity in preventing recurrence. This evidence-based case supports homoeopathy as a viable and effective treatment option for haemorrhoids.
