Alpha – Liv Drops Due to high demand from the market, for a formulation in drops for the liver, apart from the syrup already available in the market, Schwabe India developed this product. Introduction The liver plays a key role in metabolism. It has anabolic and catabolic, exocrine and endocrine functions. The liver is a blood reservoir, filter and store of different substances (e.g. glycogen, vitamins). It is the site of serum protein (e.g. albumin, prothrombin, fibrinogen) and enzyme synthesis. Metabolic processes (e.g. bilirubin, hormone, carbohydrate and lipid turnover) and the removal of toxic products are important liver functions. 1 Hepatotoxins (e.g. alcohol, tetracycline, acetaminophen, fungal toxins, and anabolic steroids) can cause specific damage to liver cells. Toxic hepatitis may be clinically silent or severe enough to lead to the rapid development of hepatic failure. Clinical features include hepatomegaly, enzyme abnormalities, fever, abdominal pain, anorexia, nausea, vomiting and weight loss. In patients with underlying cirrhosis, manifestations of portal hypertension may predominate. Aversion to fatty food, abdominal discomfort, nausea and vomiting after meals may be symptoms of 2 cholelithiasis. Jaundice results from accumulation of bilirubin. It has non-hepatic as well as hepatic causes. Hyperbilirubinaemia may be due to abnormalities in the 3 formation, transport, metabolism or excretion of bilirubin. TM Alpha -Liv Drops aids recovery and normalisation of liver functions. Severe liver disease needs specialised treatment. Indications: Slow liver functions, fatty liver, and for supportive treatment of hepatocellular jaundice and toxic liver damage.

Agave americana
It is a drug mainly mentioned for its indications in mother tincture in the literatures. Main indications of mother tincture cover stomach pain, painful erection in gonorrhoea, strangury, hydrophobia, swollen and bleeding gums, poor appetite and constipation. A proving by CCRH with 6, 30 and 200 centessimal potencies has explored variety of symptoms. This drug is available in mother tincture, 6, 30, 200 and 1M potencies with SchwabeIndia.
Head
Frequent itching of scalp, painful boil on forehead, worse cold air. Boil on the right side of forehead, sensitive. Dull pain in whole head, worse evening, better by hard pressure. Severe pain in head with loose stool, worse in evening. Intense burning pain in head extending from nape of neck, worse morning to evening, better by hard pressure. Headache with sleepiness and weakness. Headache with Malaise and weakness. Aching in forehead, worse by cold wind
Nose
Bland nasal discharge, whitish in colour, worse mid day, better at night. Painful boil inside the right nostril. Sneezing with burning sensation in nose with lethargic feeling.
Mouth
Bitter taste, dryness of mouth, worse morning. Bleeding gums, worse brushing. Painful whitish eruptions surrounded by red area inside the mouth near incisor tooth
Stomach
Frequent belching, offensive flatus, worse morning. Nausea, vomiting offensive followed by weakness. Thirsty. Thirst increased with cramping pain in abdomen.
Abdomen
Gurgling and rumbling sound in whole abdomen. Cramping pain in abdomen upper right side, better by pressure Colicky pain about umbilical region before stool. Cramping pain in abdomen around umbilicus
Rectum
Burning sensation during stools. Burning pain in rectum while passing soft offensive stool, with great strain and offensive flatus.
Stool
Offensive stool with burning in anus. Profuse watery stool with undigested food particles. Loose watery, offensive stool followed by semisolid stool, worse night loose stools, offensive flatus, worse night followed by the solid offensive stools.
Cough
Dry cough, worse rising in morning. Pain stitching in left side of chest, worse sitting erect and walking, better by lying in bed
Back
Tearing pain in lumbo-sacral region, worse morning. Pain gradually increases and extend to hip joints, better by sitting or rest in one position for long time, by engaging in some work and rapid walking. Pain in sacro-iliac region, worse by standing, sitting, lying down
Extremities
Painful boil in loin right side. Dry itching on tips of fingers of left hand, worse night. Aching around the left elbow, worse day time. Pain in left leg from knee to ankle, better Evening.
Skin
Voluptuous itching all over the body, burning after scratching, better by cold water application
Generalities
Prostration after loose stool. Malaise and weakness with headache. Weakness after vomiting.
