A Case of Lacerated Wound

Recent Advancements in Basic Homeopathic Research – A Report on Two Significant Publication

In a study conducted at the Experimental Farm of the State University of Santa Catarina, Brazil, researchers investigated the impact of homeopathic treatments on piglets during the nursery phase. The study aimed to determine whether homeopathic agents could reduce fighting behavior, improve growth performance, and affect hematological, metabolic, and oxidative variables. The study included 108 weaned piglets divided into four groups: a negative control group receiving only the basal diet, and three groups receiving different homeopathic treatments at varying dosages.

A Case of Lacerated Wound

Author: Dr. Pallavi Patle

Abstract
The case report presents the homeopathic treatment of a lacerated wound in an 8-year-old boy, who sustained a cut on his right hand from a sharp cutter. The injury was characterized by brisk bleeding and acute pain, managed initially by tight pressing to arrest the bleeding. The patient, with a history of dengue fever three years prior, was treated with Arnica montana 200 CH administered every two hours on the first day and subsequently every three hours for five days, along with Calendula officinale 200 CH and external application of Calendula ointment. The treatment resulted in significant wound healing without the use of antibiotics or surgical intervention. This case underscores the efficacy of homeopathic remedies in managing acute injuries and promoting wound healing, highlighting the potential of Arnica and Calendula in treating lacerated wounds.
