Nervous system: Sudden jerking and involuntary movements especially of lower extremities spreading upwards. Twitching of all the muscles, both healthy and affected ones. The jerking and twitching does not extend to throat and face and is not associated with tight jaw, foaming at the mouth or closure of the airways. The attack ends with a fever of short duration and is followed by deep sleep.
