Treatment of Tinea Capitis Through Individualised Homeopathic Medicine in Pediatric Age Group- A Case Report

Abstract
Tinea capitis is a common scalp infection seen amongst children. The symptoms usually include localised alopecia, dryness with much itching, raised red margins of eruptions and usually it is ovoid in appearance. In this case report; a 7 month old boy has been prescribed Homeopathic Constitutional remedy i.e. Sulphur 30. The remedy has been prescribed following Homeopathic philosophy and the cardinal principals. Individualisation has been followed and minimum doses have been given. The cure has occurred starting from very 1st dose of remedy. All the symptoms have disappeared and new healthy hair growth has been seen within a month. The result has been documented photographically. This case report can help the clinician to build up confidence in treating Tinea Capitis cases in pediatric age group.
