It is indicated in various conditions with inflammation and pain in general with a marked action on the vascular system, skin and glands. It is a great children’s remedy with symptoms of convulsions followed by nausea and vomiting.

Head: Dizziness with tendency to fall on the left side or backwards. Throbbing pains in the head with fullness, heat and heaviness. Least touch aggravates with pulsations in the head especially in forehead, occiput, and temples. Headache from suppressed cold and infections of sinuses. Pain drives him to bury his head into the pillow or roll from side to side. Falling of hair from splits and dryness.

Ears: Inflammation of tympanic membrane with tearing pain in middle and external ear and noises in the ears. Very sensitive to loud noises with acute sense of hearing. Infection of the middle ear and inflammation of parotid glands with severe pain causing a delirious state in children. Throbbing pulsations in the ear with severe pain which makes the child cry out in the sleep. Tumors inside the ear from bleeding and infections of the Eustachian tube.

Throat: Congestion of throat with dryness and sensation of constriction with enlarged tonsils and difficult deglutition especially liquids. Constant desire to swallow with sensation of a lump in the throat and constricted feeling in the oesophagus and spasms in the throat.

Female: Great bearing down sensation as if all the viscera would protrude through the genitalia. Pain in the sacrum and groins with dryness and heat of vagina. Profuse and prolonged menses with hot, bright red bleeding. Sudden labor pains with pain from hip to hip. Offensive and hot discharges from vagina after child birth. Inflammation of mammary glands with pain, throbbing, redness and reddish streaks radiating from the nipples with heaviness and hardness. Indurations and tumors of breast.

Skin: Fever with dry and hot skin with eruptions that spreads with alternate redness and paleness of skin. Very sensitive skin with swollen glands which are tender, sensitive and red. Redness of the skin with rashes, red patches, pustules on face, boils, acne, suppurative wounds and indurations of the glands after inflammations.

Fever: Very high fever state with burning and steaming heat with icy coldness of the feet. Distension of the blood vessels, distended with sweat only on the head and thirstlessness during fever.

Modalities: Worse from touch, jar, noise, draught, after noon and lying down. Better from sitting in a semi-erect position.

Dosage: Please note that the dosage of single homoeopathic medicines varies from drug to drug depending upon the condition, age, sensitivity and other things. In some cases they are given as regular doses as 3-5 drops 2-3 times a day whereas in other cases they are given only once in a week, month or even in a longer period.
