Abstract
Hypotension, characterized by abnormally low blood pressure, poses significant clinical challenges, including the potential for hypotensive shock in acute cases. Viscum album, commonly known as mistletoe, exhibits hypotensive properties, prompting interest in its therapeutic applications in managing this condition within the context of homeopathy. This retrospective case analysis was conducted to assess the efficacy of Viscum album mother tincture in hypotension management. Thirty cases meeting inclusion criteria received treatment with Viscum album mother tincture for six months, with monthly follow-up visits to evaluate treatment response based on changes in blood pressure and symptomatology. The study revealed varying degrees of improvement among participants, with a notable proportion experiencing moderate to marked improvement in hypotension symptoms following treatment with Viscum album mother tincture. It highlights the potential mechanisms underlying these effects and acknowledges the importance of treatment approaches in homeopathy. Integration of homeopathic interventions, including Viscum album, into comprehensive treatment approaches may offer valuable therapeutic options for patients with hypotension, enhancing overall patient care and quality of life. While preliminary findings suggest a promising role for Viscum album mother tincture in hypotension management, further research is warranted to validate these findings and optimize treatment strategies.
