Lapis alba

Commonly it is known as Silico-fluorid of calcium. The reproving was conducted in 1990 using 3x potency at (i) Regional Research Institute, New Delhi and (ii) Regional Research Institute, Gudivada (A.P.).  14 provers of the age group of 20-40 years took part in the proving. The proving details are in the book “Homoeopathic Drug Provings”, published by the council in 2005. The drug has earlier been reported by T. F. Allen, W. Boericke, J. H. Clarke and others. A combined materia medica from available literatures is given below.

Mind

Dullness of mind.  Desire to be alone. Aversion to music.

Head

Heaviness in forehead and eyes, worse concentration, thinking; better music.  Headache, throbbing, in evening from 4-8 p.m., extending from occiput to forehead, worse opening eyes; better music.

Neck

Affections of glands, goitre, pre-ulcerative stage of carcinoma.  Remarkably successful in scrofulous affections, except in malarial cases.

Ears

Suppurative otitis media.

Nose

Nose stuffed on walking with heaviness of head and eyes.  Coryza with watery discharge, worse morning. Nasal mucosa congested with lachrymation.

Face

Epithelioma of lip, crusts coming off leave raw surface. Tumour of lower lip with burning, stinging pains, that make him jump off his feet.

Stomach

Ravenous appetite. . Fat anaemic babies with Iodine appetite.

Abdomen

Pain in abdomen, worse morning, after eating; better pressure, passage of stool.  Distension of abdomen with gurgling sound, better passing stool.

Rectum

Stool brownish, loose, copious, gushing.

Female

Burning, shooting, stinging pains in breasts and uterus. Painful menses: suddenly taken with pain so severe that she swoons. Faints with pain at menses. Severe pain preceding the flow. Pruritis vulva. Fibroid tumors with intense burning pains through the part with profuse hæmorrhage.

Chest

Persistent pains in breast region. Glandular hardening. Burning, stinging pain in breast,

Skin

Scrofulous abscesses and sores. Enlargement and induration of glands, especially cervical. Lipoma, sarcoma, carcinoma. Pruritis.   Connective tissue about glands specially affected.
