Yohimbinum MT acts on the central nervous system and respiratory centre. An aphrodisiac, used in physiological doses, but contraindicated in all acute and chronic inflammations of abdominal organs. Causes hyperaemia of the milk glands and stimulates the function of lactation. Also indicated for menorrhagia. There is scientific evidence for the efficacy of yohimbine in erectile dysfunction. Experts suggest that the bark actually works better than the yohimbine alone. Reference 1. W.
